CAM Team Wins Agile Robotics Competition

USC's entry into the 2017 ARIAC

USC’s entry into the 2017 Agile Robots for Industrial Automation Competition.

A team from USC’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing has won the Agile Robotics for Industrial Automation Competition (ARIAC) sponsored by NIST. Agility refers to a robot’s ability to execute many different tasks and also be set up quickly for new tasks.

Matt Buckley, Brual Shah, and Prof. S.K. Gupta headed up USC’s ARIAC team, with contributions from other CAM members Iain Brookshaw, Ariyan Kabir, Baser Navab, Shaurya Shriyam, and Shantanu Thaker. When the results were announced, the USC team had taken first place!
