AME is happy to share the stories of two graduate students PJ Morgan and Oliver Khan.

PJ Morgan
From making Lego creations during his childhood to leading electric racecar designs and securing a coveted internship at SpaceX, PJ Morgan’s journey is a perfect example of the power of perseverance and passion. After transferring to USC and excelling, Morgan took on pivotal roles in the USC Formula Electric team, earning his position as Chief Engineer. His hands-on experience and leadership not only propelled the team’s innovations but also opened doors to contributing to SpaceX’s Falcon propulsion team.

Oliver Khan
Oliver Khan always had a fascination with mechanical devices, which led to a promising future in fluid dynamics research. Oliver’s experience symbolizes curiosity and interdisciplinary exploration. At USC, he delved into advanced mathematics and hands-on experiments at the Dryden Wind Tunnel, contributing to projects aimed at improving airfoil performance. His collaborative efforts extended beyond the campus, including initiating research with teams at Sandia National Laboratories and ETH Zurich. Now, he will graduate from USC and embark on a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.
