The winning human-powered vehicle!

USC’s student-led Recumbent Vehicle Design Team (RVDT) finished 2nd overall at this year’s e-Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (e-HPVC) at Boise State University. Additionally, RVDT placed 1st in the Design Event and 2nd in the Endurance Event! This is RVDT’s best performance to date at this annual competition held by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) where student teams from multiple universities construct human-powered vehicles with electric assist from scratch and race them over two days of intense competition. RVDT is excited to take the lessons learned from this year’s competition and start the design of a new vehicle for their 10th anniversary season in 2024/2025!
