The Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering hosted Industry Day to connect USC researchers with SoCal industry members

On April 20, students, faculty and local industry members attended Industry Day hosted by the USC Viterbi Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME).

“The purpose of this event was the facilitate collaboration opportunities between USC Viterbi’s Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and SoCal based industry,” said Satyandra K. (S.K.) Gupta, AME Associate Chair, Smith International Professorship in Mechanical Engineering, Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

Students presented posters detailing their research and faculty member gave spotlight talks, including Ivan Bermejo-Moreno, Matthew Gilpin, SK Gupta, Mitul Luhar, John McArthur, Assad Oberai, Niema Pahlevan, Paul Ronney and Alejandra Uranga.

More than 20 industry members attended the event representing companies such as Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, SpaceX and The Aerospace Corporation.
