We are thrilled to congratulate Rashid Alavi, Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. candidate, for his Honorable Mention in the American College of Cardiology’s 2023 Young Investigator Award in Basic & Translational Science. This is in outstanding recognition of his work on the development of Instantaneous Detection of Myocardial Ischemia Using Physics-based Machine Learning Methodology. This award recognizes “young scientific investigators of promise, upon whom progress in the field of cardiology is dependent.” The international competition was open to graduate students, cardiology fellows, medical residents, postdocs and assistant professors within three years of their terminal training. Congratulations Rashid!
